Commissioned training in Expert Knowledge Elicitation

Summary

We are coordinating commissioned education in Expert Knowledge Elicitation

The first course on the use of expert knowledge in scientific assessments, as part of a four-year commissioned training program for the European Food Safety Authority (Tender EFSA/2024/OP/0008), has been completed. These courses are intended for scientific experts and staff at EFSA, EFSA’s networks and other interested parties. The courses are delivered by an international consortium of tutors, coordinated by Ullrika Sahlin.

Expert Knowledge Elicitation is by EFSA defined as a systematic, documented and reviewable process to retrieve expert judgement from groups of experts in the form of a probability distribution. See EFSA EKE Guidance
