TITLE: A BEHAVIOURAL DECISION RESEARCH APPROACH TO DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS

Abstract: Consumers face many daunting decisions about climate change, environmental, and health topics. Communication efforts to inform these decisions may fail if communicators lack insights into what information people need or want to know to make more informed decisions, and what barriers people experience when trying to change their behavior. In this presentation, I will present examples of how behavioural decision research can help to understand and inform people’s decisions.

Åse Innes-Ker, Senior lecturer, Department of Psychology, Lund University
